Saves the Dates for WCID110 and Forest Oaks Events this fall

WCID110 and Forest Oaks are excited for the start of a new academic year and we cannot wait to see everyone in the coming weeks and months for our events hosted at either the Forest Oaks Swim and Racquet Club or at Forest Oaks Park. We wanted to share some info now in the hopes that everyone marks your calendar for the following events.

Bingo has its own landing page on the District website now, so if you want to join us and have some fun, check out the page. All registration links and event info will be included on this page.

Last year, we had such a great time with these laid back and goofy events. It was great seeing groups of friends and neighbors coming together and laughing and having a good time...and winning some gift cards for local businesses. We hop to see you at one of them in the coming months.

Last Day for Forest Oaks Pool - Labor Day, Monday, September 2

With Klein ISD starting, the pool is now open for Adult Swim only Tuesday through Fridays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and open on Saturdays and Sundays for all member access. Saturdays, the pool is open from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sundays from noon - 6 p.m.

On Labor Day, the pool will be open from noon - 6 p.m. and that is the last day for all member access. After Labor Day, it is only Adult Swim until we close for the season sometime in the middle of October.

To see more info or specifics on Adult Swim or the pool, check out the Forest Oaks Pool page on the District website.

Rivera Tennis

Check out Rivera Tennis website to see the camps, clinics, coaching, and training options available for all ages.

National Night Out

This is always a great event for our community. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 1 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the main pavilion at Forest Oaks Swim and Racquet Club. We will have Woodall's BBQ, drinks and desserts, community potluck, games and activities, local law enforcement and emergency response personnel and vehicles, and a ceremony to honor two individuals who have contributed significantly to the district.

This event is free for District residents and is geared for all ages.

National Night Out has its own landing page as well with more details and specific information, so check it out.

Trunk or Treat

A tradition unlike any other...its Trunk or Treat time!!!!! Save the date of Saturday, October 26 from 5 - 9:30 p.m. at Forest Oaks Park. Trunk or treating along the park road from community volunteers (click here to register your vehicle), games and activities, lots and lots of candy, music, wooden pumpkin decorating contest (click here to register to participate), and when it gets dark we move to the dock and watch an outdoor movie and our haunted trail opens.

This event is free for WCID110 residents and their guests. Much more info will come out about this event, but we hope you can join us because it is just such a good time for everyone!.

What Else?

We have more events planned but haven't finalized the dates yet, but you can expect the following:

  • Animal shelter donations through October benefiting Operation Pets Alive

  • Food Pantry Donations in November benefiting Northwest Assistant Ministries (NAM)

  • Electronic Recycling event - early/mid November

    • Don't know if paper shredding will be part of this fall event, but if it is available, we will add it.

  • Cookie Decorating event more than likely on Monday, December 23

This is a lot, so stay up-to-date with us on Facebook (@WCID110Recreation) and visit the WCID110 District website.

We look forward to spending time with you and your family at any of our events!
