Coyote Activity in Forest Oaks Park - 1/5/24

Park users and residents around the park:

We had a coyote on a game camera at 1:12a on Friday, 1/5/24. This is the first time we have seen a coyote on a game camera for several months, so please be aware. Just because we don't see them on game cameras does not mean they aren't around more frequently. We have only seen coyotes in the back remote parts of the park not seen a coyote in the main areas of the park in a long time.

Coyotes are scavengers, so they are looking for easy food like trash or small animals. If you are in the park, remember that all pets MUST be on leashes at all times in all areas of the park. If you see a coyote in the park, please call the office at 281-353-0998 or locate the security officer in the park (usually in constables Ford Explorer or white F150 daily from 3p to close of park). If you see one of our staff members, you can also notify them.

If we continue to see coyote activity in the park, we will continue to notify users.
